Behind the scenes

The studio redid the lane palette. A matter of legibility on sand — and of arguments that lasted three days.
On a dark HUD, at full speed, you must recognise your chamo in a quarter of a second. That's the whole problem.
The first palette was pretty. It was also unreadable: two shades merged the moment the sun hit the sand. Everything had to be redone.
Hot pink, azure cyan, mint, mango, neon purple. Five shades that don't resemble one another, that hold up on sand and on the HUD alike, and that sit well with the gold of the interface. Pink, written off early, ended up taking lane 1.
