In the arenas

The stable opens — and the training ring opens only on Sundays

By Chamophélie, special correspondent · 1 min read

A resident of the stable. His name is engraved, and engraved it stays.

You can finally review your beasts one by one: breed, stats, form of the day, accessories. And train them — provided it is Sunday, between 5 and 8 in the evening.

The page existed; it was empty. It is now full: one card per chamoracer, swiped through with a finger. Its breed shows prominently, in the colour of the faction it came from. Its characteristics — speed, stamina, morale, fatigue — all read at a glance.

The name is for life

One detail deserves a pause. A beast's name is given the day you acquire it, and never changes again. The plate says so: "name engraved on acquisition". I asked whether an appeal procedure existed. It does not.

Three hours a week

The training button stays dark six days out of seven. It lights up only on Sunday, between 5 and 8 pm, and once per beast. Outside that window a line appears beneath it: the ring doesn't open, and the boss makes no exceptions.

"Three hours is already three hours where I earn nothing."
— Al Pacciamo, magnanimous
