Special correspondent

On Sundays the boss counts. And he advises you to run.

By Chamophélie, special correspondent · 1 min read

Sunday's takings. You look. You do not touch.

One event a day, one per faction, in arenas nobody knew existed. Except on Sunday: that day the till is shut and the training ring is open.

Luxor on Monday, the sanctuary on Tuesday, Monte-Chamo on Wednesday, the gymnasium on Thursday, Chamotronix on Friday, Rome on Saturday. Six days, six arenas, six gangs taking turns — and one entry per hour, because the boss doesn't open the same door twice running.

Then comes Sunday.

"Counting day"

That day nobody stakes and nobody collects. Al settles behind his counter with his ledgers and does not look up. The arenas still turn, but for nothing: you race, you bet, you earn stars, and those stars convert into experience alone.

"It's counting day! Don't you think you'd be better off training?"
— Al Pacciamo, without lifting his eyes from the books

It is not an invitation. Everyone understood that.
