Six factions, thirty names: the boss finally opens his doors

By Chamophélie, special correspondent · 1 min read

The boss, last night. The notebook stayed open for five minutes.

Al Pacciamo did what he had never done before: he handed over the list. Six gangs, thirty beasts, a running order. We now know who races, where, and against whom.

He laid the notebook on the table, turned it round with one finger, and said nothing more. Inside: six pages, one per faction. And on each page, five names.

The Toutanchamos open the ball in Giza — Chamomie, Amonbosse, Nefertitesse, Chamo Jones, and old Chamses II himself, twice believed dead. Then come the Chamourai at the temple, the Chamoteurs at Monte-Chamo, the Chamoiselles on campus, the Chamonators in Chamotronix.

And at the end, Rome

The sixth page carries no rival gang. It carries the name of the house: La Chamo Nostra. The Thin One, The Colossus, The Accountant, La Rossa — and, last of all, a signature I don't need to copy out here.

"Five doors before mine. Nobody has ever pushed it open. Go on, prove me wrong."
— Al Pacciamo, closing the notebook

Thirty races to reach him. The boss says he has all the time in the world. On that count, he's the only one.
